RIP CURRENT RISK TODAY: MODERATE
A brisk Southeast breeze along with ocean conditions will create
a MODERATE rip current threat along area beaches. Additionally,
a strong northward flowing longshore current will be present
within the surf zone. The threat for rip currents will be highest
this afternoon due to tidal effects.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help. Check with beach patrol for
local conditions and never swim alone.

OUTLOOK FOR...THURSDAY...Showers and a slight chance of
thunderstorms in the morning, then partly sunny with a chance of
showers and a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the
lower 70s. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90 percent.
