statement for the following rivers...

  ...St. Charles


River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast 
precipitation for the next 24 hours.  

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles 
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe 
passage.

Forecast information for
  The Missouri River at Jefferson City
* from late Tuesday morning until Wednesday afternoon.
* At  9:45 AM Sunday the stage was 19.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by late Tuesday 
  morning and crest near 23.4 feet by early Wednesday morning. The 
  river will fall below flood stage by Wednesday afternoon.
* At 20.0 feet... The River Banks begin to overflow.

  Missouri River at Washington.
* At  9:45 AM Sunday the stage was 16.1 feet.
* No flooding is currently forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise to near 19.6 feet Wednesday evening.

  The Missouri River at St. Charles
* from early Wednesday morning until further notice.
* At 10:00 AM Sunday the stage was 22.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by early Wednesday 
  morning and crest near 26.0 feet by Thursday morning.
* At 25.0 feet... The right bank downstream overflows, flooding 
agricultural bottomland.  Near this stage, Missouri Route H at Island
Road will be closed in both directions.
