statement for the following rivers...


  Missouri River...affecting Jefferson City
                ...Washington
                ...St. Charles
                
  Osage River affecting Mari-Osa Campground


River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast 
precipitation for the next 24 hours.  

Safety message:  Never drive cars, trucks, or sport utility vehicles 
through flooded areas.  The water may be too deep to allow for safe 
passage.

* At  8:45 PM Sunday the stage was 19.7 feet.
* No flooding is currently forecast.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise to near 22.5 feet early Tuesday 
  afternoon.

* At  8:45 PM Sunday the stage was 16.3 feet.
* No flooding is currently forecast.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise to near 19.3 feet early Wednesday
  afternoon.

  The Missouri River at St. Charles
* At  8:30 PM Sunday the stage was 22.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* The river is forecast to rise above flood stage by Tuesday before 
  midnight and crest near 25.7 feet by Wednesday evening. The river 
  will fall below flood stage by Thursday evening.
* At 25.0 feet... The right bank downstream overflows, flooding 
agricultural bottomland.  Near this stage, Missouri Route H at Island
Road will be closed in both directions.
