.SYNOPSIS...
Strong high pressure over the Ohio Valley this afternoon will
slowly shift southeastward, moving off the Carolina coast by
Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, low pressure emerging over the
southern Plains states on Tuesday will move northeastward into the
Great Lakes region on Wednesday, pushing a cold front into the
southeastern states. Onshore winds will reach Small Craft Advisory
levels in the offshore waters by Tuesday night. Southerly winds
will then strengthen ahead of the front on Wednesday and Wednesday
evening, followed by an increasing coverage of showers and
thunderstorms from late Wednesday night through Thursday. The
front will move offshore by Thursday afternoon. Northerly winds
will develop by Thursday night in the wake of the front as high
pressure gradually builds into the southeastern states on Friday.
