Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
1137 PM CDT Sat Aug 17 2019

.AVIATION [06Z TAF Issuance]...
VFR overnight with patchy MVFR ceilings possible near CLL close to
sunrise. Expect southerly winds to remain throughout the night and
become more southwesterly after sunrise and increase becoming
gusty. Trend in short term guidance is for more showers to develop
before sunrise and spread into the coastal counties. Already had
this covered in the previous TAFs and will continue with this
scenario. TSRA developing 17z and shifting into the Houston Metro
TAF areas with VCTS for now but HOU/IAH could have impacts in the
mid afternoon hours. S/W moving through the area late
afternoon/evening may bring an increase in high clouds and may
help keep CI debris around longer than the short lived CI debris
from today's storms.
