Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Deep South Texas
National Weather Service Brownsville TX
439 AM CST Sun Jan 20 2019

...Vigilance required for potential wildfire growth and
spread through Wednesday...

.DISCUSSION...High pressure settling over Deep South Texas
and the Rio Grande Valley will bring much lighter winds
today but continued low to very low afternoon relative
humidity. As the high moves quickly to the east, increasing
southerly winds will develop Monday and combine with
modest afternoon relative humidity to create elevated
danger for fire growth and spread mainly between U.S. Highway
77 and U.S. Highway 281. Strong southerly winds are
expected from the Lower Valley to the King Ranch on Tuesday
with higher humidity, and another front will sweep off the
coast early Wednesday followed by a punch of gusty northwest
winds and potentially low humidity.
